Homework for the Week of January 4, 2010
Math – a math worksheet (or two) will come home each evening (Monday through
Thursday) to be completed and returned the next day.
Spelling – The words for this week are following the long a, consonant, sneaky
"e" rule which we are covering in phonics. These are review words and also
include two high frequency words marked with an *.

This is a change – please do the assigned activities for each day!!! Please
have your child do the following activities in their spelling journals on the
days as assigned. Remember that this work is not due until Friday, January 8,
2010. Remember that there will be a spelling test on Friday this week.
Spelling activities (to be completed in their spelling journals)
o Monday -Write the words three times each.
o Tuesday - Write the words another time on a separate page and
circle the vowels.
o Wednesday - Choose six words to write in a sentence. This may
take some helping out on your part – or at least some review.
o Thursday – Study for your spelling test. If your child is still
not comfortable with the words, please have them write the words three times
each in their spelling journal.
