</U>All students will be required to take a "Power Reading" Quiz before the end of the year.  Students should have an independent reading book already from home, my classroom, or the Bookmobile.  Typically, students take these quizzes at their leisure.  Due to few students actually completing this assignment over the course of 3 marking periods, I have made May 27th the second deadline.  Students were given this message Monday in class, giving them plenty of time to finish (or begin) reading their current book and take a quiz.  Once they have completed the quiz, they are to begin reading their next "Power Reading" book.<BR>

<DIV>The Boo<SPAN style="COLOR: #339966">kMobile from the Kent County Library will be spending time at POCS every Wednesday and Friday from 10:45 to 12:15.  Students will be checking out books to continue their work on Power Reading.  A yellow flyer went home with the students for you to fill out so they can acquire a library card.  If you are interested in checking books out, you can join the Middle School on Friday from 10:45 to 12:15.</SPAN></DIV>
