I am originally from Buffalo, NY and have now spent more than half of my
life living in a much warmer place! After leaving Buffalo, I spent time
living in Roanoke, VA; Columbia, SC; Sumter, SC; Culpeper, VA; and, finally,
sunny Sarasota, FL! Our family has been living here for over 14 years. I
am married and have three children ~ Megan(25), Bryan(19), and Christopher
(15). I also have a grandaughter, Ashlynn Grace, who is 2 1/2 years old. She
is a joy and blessing to our whole family!
I graduated from SUNY College at Buffalo and received my BS in Elementary
Education. In 1999 I earned my Master's degree in Curriculum and
Interdisciplinary Studies from National Louis University.
The computer lab consists of thirty Windows student workstations, a teacher
workstation, a mini broadcast studio, and a Promethean whiteboard. Lessons
and demonstrations are projected from the teacher station to an overhead
projection system and taught at the interactive whiteboard. Students in
grades K-5 visit the computer lab once every six, seven, or eight days for a
55 minute session. Students learn basic technology skills in the lab while
working on projects that integrate technology into the different areas.
