Star Sprint will be held in February 26th. Join us on the 12th
as we kick-off this fun event. Sponsor forms are sent home 2
weeks prior to the event. The fun will begin with a 45 minute
run/walk around the bus loop while lively music is played!
Parents are encouraged to come out & cheer the runners.

Popsicles will be served immediately following the run.

Prizes are awarded according to money raised and laps run.

We are very anxious to reveal the winner of the t-shirt design at
the Star Sprint kick-off party on Friday, February 12th. Thank
you to all of the 5th graders who participate.

STAR SPRINT 2010 is promising to be an awesome & fun event for
everyone involved.

We will need volunteers to help organize and staff this exciting
fundraiser. Volunteers will be needed with such activities as
recording laps ran by the children, as well as distributing t-
shirts and water bottles. Contact Lisa Whittaker
(lisaawhittaker@msn.com) if you are interested in volunteering.

We are looking forward to another fun and exciting Star Sprint.
Your continued participation and excitement will help to make
this years event another success, so lets get revved-up to run!

Book Fair- Chairperson: Gina Rogers

This exceptional event occurs in May at Ashton!

The media center will be transformed into a fun and exciting book
store! The children come in to shop during their regularly
scheduled media time (they will also check out a book). We offer
a wish list board where teachers place slips of their "wish"
books. This gives families the opportunity to get a much wanted
present for their child's classroom!

The hours are 8:00am-3:30pm daily. We invite you to shop with
your child before or after school as well! We accept cash,
checks & credit cards!

We hope to see you at the Book Fair May 10-14th
