The Mission of the Ashton Elementary PTO is to create a sense of community
and commitment among the parents, teachers and students at Ashton. The
activities of the Ashton PTO focus on enhancing the learning environment,
developing parental involvement, creating social opportunities and providing
leadership in fundraising for supplemental school supplies, equipment and
programs. All parents of Ashton students and all Ashton staff are members
of the PTO. There are no membership dues, and participation is voluntary
yet strongly encouraged.
As a parent of a child at Ashton School you will have the opportunity to get
involved. We are the Ashton Parent Teacher Organization and our function is
to serve our children and our school. There are many opportunities each year
to help. This is the best way to get to know your child's school, staff and
other Ashton families. We help out on a regular basis in the classroom, on
field trips, in the media center, or at class parties. You can be a one-on-
one tutor, media helper, Computer Parent or help our Math Superstars. You
can volunteer once a week, once a month, or as needed by your child's
teacher.
