Ms. Jensen has a bachelor of fine arts degree in drama performance with a
minor in music from the University of Georgia, a master's degree in
secondary education language arts from the University of South Alabama, and
completed post-graduate coursework in theatre at the Yale School of Drama.
Ms. Jensen has twenty years of teaching experience at the middle, high
school and college level. This is her first year teaching at Washington.
Ms. Jensen's mission is to enlighten her students by exposing them to a wide
range of literature's authors and genres; to connect the texts and
selections to the present by making the information relevant to the world of
the student; to transport the student out of their current place and time in
order to explore the places and times that have paved the way to their
present and their future; to realize each individual's potential.
