ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE
   The outline for this course follows a sequence developed by ECSD.  
   Check the QUARTER OUTLINE page for details as to what is begin 
   covered each week during the year.  
   8 quizzes (1/Friday) 10 pts each - 80 pts
   Quarter Exam (9th week)          - 20 pts

AP ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE
   This demanding course requires that we cover one chapter / week in 
   order to be ready for the AP exam in May.  This means that 
   students MUST read chapters outside of class and be prepared to 
   discuss these topics during lectures (Monday and Wednesdays).  Lab 
   work will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  
   Exam 1 (week 4) 25%             - 25 pts
   Exam 2 (week 5) 25%             - 25 pts
   5 Labs @ 10% each               - 50 pts

MARINE SCIENCE 1
   This course is an introduction to the subject of marine science  
   and to the process of scientific investigations.  The course is 
   divided into 3 units: MARINE SCIENCE & ISSUES FACING THE GULF OF 
   MEXICO; PHYSICAL OCEANOGRAPHY; MARINE BIOLOGY. 
   Week 1-3 / 5-7: quiz each Friday (33%)                     
   Week 4   / 8  : Unit Exam        (33%)
                   Lab Reports      (33%)

MARINE SCIENCE 2
25%   Weekly Progress Grade            
75%   Portions of Research Project (different each quarter)
