(September 10, 2015) ****  IMPORTANT SCHOOLS NEWS

Tomorrow is the 9/11 Ceremony that we are participating in with the Town of Bay Harbor Islands Police Department and Town Officials. This event will involve our entire student body and will be a very nice remembrance in honor of those whose lives were impacted by 9/11.
Traffic Patterns will be impacted as there will be limited access through 95th Street to enter the parking garage. (See Narrative)
There will be a  tent on 95 Street which has approximately 14 feet of clearance enough to allow passenger vehicles to pass under.  We will have officers in place on 95th Street to guide vehicles under the open frame of the tent and allow them to pass east into the garage.  This will end at approximately 8:45 am when we will need to have the chairs put in place under the tent.
At approximately 8:45 we will be shutting down 95th street to east bound traffic.  Public Works dep’t is utilizing the sign boards on 96 Street to alert parents of the 911 event and to expect traffic delays.

Advise for parents who
drive in from the west side of town to go south on West Bay Harbor Drive to 92 street turning north and then left onto 93 to the school.   The parents who come in from the east should utilize Bay Harbor Terrace to travel south. We will have an officer at 96 Street and the Terrace to assist moving the east bound traffic south and advising parents to consider using Bert Court to enter the garage and park there.
The ceremony will begin promptly at 8:45 am.  All students should bring a water bottle (as it will be hot) and a towel (to sit down on the field as the ceremony occurs- approximately 40 minutes). All students must sit with their class/ teacher and stay with their class throughout the entire event.

A BIG "thank you" to all my students and their families!!!

This has been a busy, but wonderful start to the new school year. I have been blessed with the most amazing students and supportive parents that made the "back to school" week go so smoothly. I have enjoyed getting to know each of my students and meeting many of the parents. I look forward to meeting all of the other parents soon. I'm filled with excitement because I know this is going to be an amazing year!

Thank you again for all of the support and cooperation!
