CLASS NEWS FIFTH GRADE NEWSLETTER Bet Breira May/June 2009 Albert Einstein said, “Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.” So our little fifth graders must keep moving right into middle school. This month is full of exciting end-of-the-year activities. We will have our Fifth Grade Graduation trip to Epcot and our Fifth Grade Graduation and dinner. With all this excitement your might wonder if any learning is actually going on. We will end our year reading the novel The Watson’s Go to Birmingham-1963 and continue in math with a combination of Data Analysis, Measurement, and number sense. In Science we will begin the study of the Human Body, focusing on the skeletal, muscular and nervous system. Also, we will end the school year learning about the Civil Rights movement, the Cold War, and technology. I look forward in seeing all of you in our end-of-the-year activities. And remember, keep on pedaling!
