Teacher
As the instructor, you must teach the students how to chunk, scan, skim,
gloss and use graphic organizers for all three of your classes!
You are a veteran college teacher, but only in recent years have you really
felt the need to incorporate reading strategies into your social science, and
psychology courses.
You are always on the look-out for new ways to teach and for new ways to help
students learn.
Also, you have recently been charged with training peer tutors. While
searching for your own tools, and looking further into using the 5 main
strategies, confer with the peer tutor in your group to see if you can help
him/her out too.
Jot down any other strategies you may come across in your search! Write down
how they work and whether or not you're considering using them in your
class.
