Welcome to another exiciting school year at Bob Graham Education Center!
As you know, we are an "A" school again this year and we are very proud of
this achievement.
I'm looking forward to enhancing your child's music knowledge and
experiences. Check back to this webpage weekly for information on required
materials, assignments, test and performance information.
The home learning assignment for all of Mrs. Carballo's 2nd graders is to have
their Bob Graham School Song sheet in their music notebooks. They need to have
their music notebook, their Bob Graham School Song sheet, 10 blank sheets of
notebook paper and a sharpened pencil ready for the weekly music class. They
will also have a Secret Question, Vocabulary Tests and a Notebook Check each
grading period. Studying the assigned vocabulary words to prepare for each
test is also their grading period home learning assignment.
The first grading period, the Secret Question, Vocabulary Test and Notebook
check will be worth 1 grade each.
The second grading period, the Secret Question, Vocabulary Test and Notebook
check will be worth 2 grades each.
The third grading period, the Secret Question, Vocabulary Test and Notebook
check will be worth 3 grades each.
The fourth grading period, the Secret Question, Vocabulary Test and Notebook
check will be worth 4 grades each.
The home learning assignment for all of Mrs.Carballo's 3rd, 4th and 5th
graders is to have their recorder and all their music materials ready for each
music class.
Recorders are available at our school from Mrs. Carballo, Ms. Fojo, Mr. Perez.
The cost is $5.00 cash. You can also buy a recorder from any local music
store. Recorders are mandatory beginning August 30, 2009.
Every 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grader will have a Secret Question, Vocabulary
Test and a Notebook check each grading period. The student is responsible for
all materials and music given out during their class, during that grading
period. Fifth Graders will also be responsible for a weekly practice log. In
order to receive a home learning credit, the log must be filled out and signed
or initialed by THE PARENT.
It is the student's responsibility to get any work they miss
from Mrs. Carballo due to an absence from their weekly music class. No make up
work will be given for unexcused absences.
