Being a Miami- Dade County Public Schools student, I had the privilege of
attending John G. Dupuis Elementary school, Palm Springs Junior High and
being part of the first graduating class at MAST Academy. In 2001, I
earned a Bachelor’s degree from Florida International University in
Elementary Education. In 2007, I earned a Master’s degree from Florida
International University in Early Childhood Education with honors.
I began my teaching career 12 years ago at Palm Springs Elementary School.
I have had the honor of teaching at Bob Graham Education Center since its
opening year. I have taught first grade, second grade, inclusion and
Extended Foreign Language. This is my eighth year teaching Extended
Foreign Language and I love it!
I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband and I have two beautiful
daughters; Alexandra and Allison. I even get to teach at BGEC with my
big sister…Mrs. Easterling! In my spare time, I love to read, draw and
visit the beach.
I am thrilled to serve as a council member for SHA! Together, we can have
a great year helping our community!
