•	Sings simple songs with accurate pitch, rhythm and tone quality

    Creation and Communication 

•	Learns to improvise a short free form song

•	Recognizes sound effects and applies them to song, poems and stories.

    Cultural and Historical Connections 

•	Realizes that music is different in other places.


•	Understands that music can differ in various cultures.

   Aesthetic and Critical Analysis  

•	Describes feelings communicated through music.

•	Responds to characteristics of music slow or fast loud and soft.

   Applications to Life

•	Understands the use of music in daily life.

•	Demonstrates appropriate audience behavior in setting such as the 

classroom or at a school performance.
