• Continues to demonstrate healthy singing techniques with regard to
posture for tone pitch and breathe support with an extended range of notes.
• Performs a diverse repertoire representing various cultures,
historical periods and genres.
• Sings with others, blending vocal timbre, dynamics and responding to
the cues of a conductor.
Creation and Communication
• Learns to read and perform a note pattern with and instrument.
• Compares dynamic level and timbre of contrasting examples in
families of instruments with regard to orchestra, band and ensembles.
• Sight reads rhythm patterns with regards to notes and rests.
• Describes feelings and images communicated through music.
Cultural and Historical Connections
• Identifies composers periods and there styles.
• Identify important composers and performers who influenced there
country through music.
• Classify selected works from historical periods by genre, style and
composer.
Aesthetic and Critical Analysis
• The student listens to analyzes and describes music.
• Identifies solo voices such as soprano, alto, tenor and bass.

• Analyzes multiple use of music in the media.
