   Skills and Techniques

•	Continues to demonstrate healthy singing technique with regard to 

posture for tone as well as breathe support for extended range of notes.

•	Arranges short songs for classroom performance. 

    Creation and Communication
      
•	  Identifies musical characteristics of a selection by timbre, tempo
 
and dynamics.

•	Compares dynamic level and timbre with regard to there place in the 

orchestra, band and ensemble.

•	Sight read and performs a note pattern with voice then an instrument.

     Cultural and Historical Connections 

•	Classify selected works from historical periods by genre, style and
 
composer.

•	Identify important composers who influenced there country through
 
music. 

•	Identify selected works from composures through style and the period 

of music.

    Aesthetic and Critical Analysis

•	The student listens analyzes and describe music.

•	Identifies solo voices and terms of range.

    Applications to Life

•	Describes the use of music in the media

•	Describes characteristics that make music suitable for specific 

purpose.

•	Explains how musical preference reflects one’s personal experience
