Yvonne Filiault was born and raised in Pennsylvania. She is happily married
and has two wonderful children, Taylor and Sean. She has spent two
years as our PTO President and has also subbed in many of the grades at
BSCS. After taking on two long term sub positions two years ago, she decided
it
was time to return to the classroom, where her true passion lies. She has
had a love for children from a young age. During her college years she spent
time working in a Montessori School and worked at a day camp with
children ranging in age from 4-14 yrs. Also during her college days she
developed and piloted an educational program for The American Red Cross.
This program was implemented into the local areas classrooms the following
year. Yvonne graduated from Bloomsburg University with a degree in Elementary
Education and Early Childhood Education. After graduating, Yvonne worked as
a Kindergarten Aide and later started a PreK class for the school she was
currently working at. A year and a half later her family moved to Texas,
where she taught in her children's preschool for three years and was also
the assistant director. Yvonne and her family have now been living
here in Florida for four years. She is excited to be back in the
classroom! This is her second year teaching Kindergarten, here at BSCS.
