Daily Journal Prompts

Dear Parents,

When my students enter my classroom, there are two things they must do; their Daily Bites (a mixture of math, language arts, and geography questions, or a worksheet) and ther journal writing for the day. I believe this sets the tone for how our morning will go. It also puts students in "the learning frame of mind".

If your student is absent or if you see that your student wants to or needs to practice their writing more, here are some possible journal prompts to do at home. I LOVE   to read the students writing that they do on their own; it is normally the most creative writing they do. So please send it in for me to read!!

Thanks,

Mrs. Velez
