Marianne Berkes
Marianne Berkes is a Southwest Florida resident who has authored several 
wonderful books all on the topic of nature and the outdoors.  I had the 
pleasure of meeting her at the 2006 Lee County Reading Festival.  Her book 
titles include: Seashells By the Seashore, Marsh Morning, Over in the Ocean 
in a Coral Reef, and Marsh Music.

Steven Kellogg has always been one of my favorite authors and illustrators.  
His books include: The Day Jimmy's Boa Ate the Wash, Island of the Skog, Best 
Friends, How Much Is a Million?, and Is Your Mama a Llama?  His pictures are 
especially remarkable.

Patricia Polacco
This author and illustrator IS my all-time favorite story teller and 
illustrator.  Her stories are based on her life growing up in Michigan and of 
her heritage.  Her books include: Babushka's Doll, The Keeping Quilt, The Bee 
Tree, Welcome Comfort, Chicken Sunday, and When Lightening Comes in a Jar.  
She has lessons to teach!

Marsha Wilson Chall
Marsha Wilson Chall is fellow Minnesota native.  She has written several 
books including, Up North at the Cabin, Sugarbush Spring, Boneparte, and 
Prarie Train.  She was one of the authors at the 2005 Lee County Reading 
Festival.  She was one of the authors that I personally waited in line to 
meet and have autograph MY books!
