About The Teacher

Mrs. Broom completed her Bachelor's degree in education at Western Kentucky 
University(Go Hill Toppers).  She has been teaching nearly 20 
years...including Elementary Education grades 3rd,4th,5th at Gocio & 
Phillippi Shores and Middle Grades 6th, 7th, 8th at Booker Middle School.  
Presently, she teaches 6th & 7th grade Intensive Reading and 6th grade 
Language Arts for Advanced ESOL students.  She is Endorsed in ESOL and 
Reading K-12.  She stays very busy with her husband and four children but 
always finds a quiet corner to snuggle up with a great book.
