My name is Rosa Larkins Daughtry. I have been at Booker Middle for 5
years. I started here as a 6th grade ESE Teacher. I have been the Behavior
Specialist for the past four years. I have lived in Sarasota for 9 years. I
am originally from Tampa, Florida. There I taught ESE students with varying
exceptionalities from K - 6th grade.
I attended Nova South Eastern University where I obtained a Bachelor of
Science in Varying Exceptionalities (K-12. I continued my education at
University of South Florida and received a Master's in Educational
Leadership.
Currently, I am one of the Tornado DIVAS coordinator, which is a
mentoring program for 7th/8th grade female students. The DIVAS (Determined
Individuals Visualizing Academic Success)program gives the young ladies an
opportunity to excell academically, behaviorally, and socially.
My motto is "Children First". My door is always open. Please feel
free to come by or call me at any time when needed. I hope to be a positive
influence with your student's educational career and life. Also, I thrive to
support them in endeavors that will assist them to be productive and law-
abiding citizens.
My mission for students is to mature academically, behaviorally, and
socially to become productive men and women in society.
