SOCIAL STUDIES
The S. Studies classes are presently working on Landform/Waterform Booklets
along with making their own (44) landform flash cards. The work is done
during class time. They will be using the definitions of each landform to
help identify their pictures. They will also be using the pictures and their
definitions to complete a packet with various activities on landforms.
The Landform/Waterform Booklet and cards will be part of their 2nd Quarter
grade.
First Quarter ended on Oct 18th with (20) grades in S. Studies. Their grades
consisted of: (7) tests, (5) quizzes, (5) assignments (2) packets, and (1)
project. Students are given opportunities to make up any work, but absences,
and lack of effort will affect their grades greatly.
We will be spending the majority of the 2nd quarter learning about the
continent of Asia, particulaly the countries of China and Japan.
SCIENCE
Since we do many experiments and activities in class, we usually do not
have homework on a regular basis. If students do not finish something in
class, they are to finish it for homework. Homework is usually due the next
school day. I will sign the agenda book next to the homework assignment the
students write down. If a student is absent, they are responsible for
getting all the work that they missed when they come back to school.
MATH
Math loves you. Practice in FCAT workbook chapter 4-6 every day and do
