Through the Literacy Empowers All Families initiative, the Community Foundation of Sarasota County is providing thousands of children from pre- school through seventh grade, with the opportunity to experience the joy of reading. STARBOOKS is the $217,000 portion of the grant targeted at 6th and 7th grade students. All eight Sarasota County middle schools are actively involved in STARBOOKS. STARBOOKS is a comprehensive reading initiative targeting sixth and seventh grade. Ask your child to share their book with you!
