About The Teacher

     As a transplant from Michigan, I received a B.S. in Education degree 
from Central Michigan University.  I taught English and drama to eighth 
graders and instructed adults in Harrison, Michigan, for five years before 
moving to Florida.  Once in Sarasota, I began teaching at the Booker Schools 
in 1978 and hve been here ever since, thoroughly enjoying almost thirty years.

Mission For The Class

     I expect students to be on task and engaged in some aspect of the 
learning continuum in my classroom at all times.  Students need to, and do, 
find the general and the specific in room #801, adding to their growing body 
of common knowledge . . . And their reading, writing, speaking, and critical 
thinking skills are bolstered for their high school and life experiences.
