I received my BS from Central Connecticut State University and my MS in
Reading and Special Education Certification from Southern Connecticut State
University. I have taught for 21 years and my experience includes second and
fifth grade in Bridgeport, Connecticut, fifth grade self-contained in Milo,
Maine, and high school Reading/Language Arts in Milford, Connecticut. This
is my fourth year at Booker Middle School. I taught ESE self-contained
sixth grade Reading/Language Arts for three years, and I am now an ESE
Liaison/Resource Teacher for the sixth grade.
Whereever I have taught, I have found that children are basically the same -
they all want to be heard, want to learn, and need positive reinforcement
and respect. I enjoy watching children interact and learn from each other,
and being there when a student suddenly smiles - and you know they got it!
