Dear Parent/Guardian,

Welcome to the 2008-2008 school year! I am looking forward to a successful, 
productive year and encourage you to work with me to achieve this goal.

As a parent you are an integral part of the success of your child. I 
appreciate your efforts to monitor your child’s progress. Please feel free 
to contact me with any questions, concerns, and/or suggestions. The most 
convenient times to reach me by phone, 359-5824 are between 7:00 and 7:15 
and 2:15 - 3:30 pm. If I am not available, leave a message and I will return

Course Expectations:
*Daily preparation for learning
* Display a positive, cooperative attitude
* Organize, maintain and update daily a Math Binder which contains a Table of
    Contents, Quiz Record Sheet, all class work, homework and quiz/ test 
papers in numerical order.
* Bring Math Binder to class daily.
* Mastery of FCAT math skills.                            
* Encourage an active learning experience while at school

Student Grading Categories:
* Students will be graded on academic achievement, work habits and effort 
which include:
      * Quizzes		  * Daily class work
      * Tests		  * Maintaining Math Binder
      * Projects	  * Assignments
      * Final Assessment Exam
