A new date has been added to the VPA December calendar. We will be doing a
Christmas benefit concert at St. Andrew UCC on Dec. 6 at 4pm. A suggested
donation of $10 will be collected at the door. Please tell all your friends
and family to come out to this amazing Christmas concert featuring our VPA
ensemble and soloists from that group.
Thank you to all parents who showed up at the parent meeting last week. If
you were not here, one new fundraiser that we decided to do was to have a
silent auction for gift baskets at our next concert. If you are interested
in donating one of the baskets, please contact me for more information. Some
ideas include movie basket, beach basket, and Starbucks basket. Each raffle
ticket will cost $1 and audience members will be able to purchase as many as
they want. Our dance department did this a few years ago, and it brought in
almost $1500!!!! Let's get this going.
Also, we are planning a family dinner night at either Sweet Tomatoes or
Rico's Pizza in January. More information is coming on that soon, but keep
the dates Jan. 22 and Jan. 29 open on your calendar.
Washington information was sent home last week. It is a brief overview of
the trip and a letter of intent. Please read it carefully, and get it back
to me by Nov. 24. I want to have an idea of who is going on the trip before
Thanksgiving.
Candle Fundraiser started yesterday. The kids have until Nov. 20 to sell as
many candles as they can. Remember, 45% of whatever the kids bring in goes
towards their DC trip. Sell, sell, sell!!!!
