Homework

Week of 11/16 to 11/20
#########STUDY YOUR NOTES NIGHTLY####################
We are once again collecting Box Tops for Education. Get your scissors ready
and start clipping :)
Please continue to encourage your children to bring in pull tabs.
MONDAY:
The following have been graded and will be handed back:
Not Just Dirt was handed back last Friday
Hailstorm and Hailstones hand back to blue grp.
A Breath of Wind hand back to green and red.
Water Cycle classwork/homework is being handed back. Check with your child
there are several not handed in.
Some of the Extra Credit will be handed back.

This Tuesday the grades 3,4, and 5 will be doing a "mock" math test as if it
were FCAT. They need to do their best and will be experiencing the same time
frame and break frame as if this were the real thing. The idea behind this,
once you've done it, it should relieve some test anxieties.
This could put the actual Science Assessment back due to lost teaching time.
I should know after Monday where our little ones are and make the judgement
call then. As for now, the next assessment is scheduled for this Wednesday
11/18.
The Assessment will cover: air pressure and its role in weather, the
troposphere and its role in our weather, wind how it is formed both locally
and globally, hurricane formation, low pressure areas and how they form, high
pressure and how it forms, sea breezes and land breezes and their
mechanics, how much water is usable on this planet, everything about the water
cycle (hydrologic cycle),factors that affect this cycle, the difference
between weather and climate, factors that affect climate, air masses and how
they control weather, and tools that measure weather.
