Before winter break and after we will be discovering how living things
interact with their environment.

very well in 3rd); reintroduce the term transpiration (Green and red are
knowledgeable, Red and Purple have heard of it but now they must know it)

How is energy passed through a ecosystem? energy transfer, ecosystem,
herbivore, carnivore, food chain, decomposer; food webs, energy pyramid,
natural cycles that effect ecosystems-- water, nitrogen, carbon cycles.
This is going to be a different kind of a week. In order to keep reigns on
ourselves I have chosen to cover this chapter in workbook style.
On Monday and Tuesday I have to take groups of kids to the Computer Lab to
do, yet another, state progress assessment in Science, FOCUS. (They have
already completed the Math one.) The rest of the week, with various programs
in place, will be difficult to work around, but we will try to stay the
Science course :)
EVERYTHING IS GRADED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I went to school Saturday and got the remaining WONDERFUL, EXCITING projects
completed. I also went through my sachel and found 5 ungraded Lunar Papers
and updated all the grades. Again parents, I cannot stress enough about how
important it is for your student child to get their completed work into me.
Those who chose not to do the Space Project have taken a real bite out of
their grade.
If I don't get a chance to see you in person, I will use this time to wish
each and everyone of you a glorious winter break!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THURSDAY: We have created Brentwood's Nebula opened to the whole school,
where our projects are on display. This Friday our projects will be going
home :)
