About The Teacher Label:
About The Teacher
I am teaching because I want to be, not because it is the only thing I can do. I've come to teaching later in life and because of this I can teach from a global perspective with first hand knowledge of what is expected "out there." I am on a mission to have each child reach their fullest potential, to feel good about themselves as a person and their accomplishments. I have an intensity about me because I know I am touching the life of a child for such a short time. There is so much for me to do, and so little time in which to bring the student to life. There is only one mistake in my book, which is never to have tried. My classroom is based on a CAN DO state of mind and I will work to the last ounce of my energy to instill students with strategies by which to be successful and an inner road where they feel the strength of personal success.
Mission Label:
Mission
Our children are living in a world that does not resemble in many ways the "world" of our early years. What we needed then to be successful has shifted and does not always hold the same value presently. We have entered the 21st century, a global world technologically enhanced that will need for people to be thinkers, developers, cooperatively seeing a future. Within this framework science will hold a seat of honor. We, as a nation, can no longer get by on labor that is so-so. We must make a commitment early on to see that our children have an experiental education, filled with hands on inquiry based activities that inspires them to think, pose and seek answers for questions, and look for a positive gain for all.
