For educators who demonstrate innovative uses of data-collection technology 
using a computer, graphing calculator, or other handheld device in the 
science classroom.

The Fulbright-Hays Seminars Abroad Program 

The Fulbright-Hays Seminars Abroad Program provides opportunities for overseas
experience. The program is open to U.S. educators and administrators from
middle and secondary schools who have responsibility for curriculum and
instruction in mathematics and science. The program is geared towards those
educators with little or no experience in the host country (ies) who
demonstrate the need to develop and enhance their curriculum through
short-term study and travel abroad. Seminars take place from late June to
mid-August for a duration of four to six weeks.

Toshiba Grades K-6 Education Grants are intended to contribute to the
quality of science and mathematics education in U.S. communities by
investing in projects designed by classroom teachers to improve science and
mathematics education for students in grades K thru 6.

The UPS Foundation's Educational Programs grants support academic research,
programs that raise the level of educational instruction, family learning
opportunities, and school involvement projects.

Airborne Teacher Trust Fund
 
The Airborne Teacher Trust Fund invites elementary and middle school
teachers from public and private schools throughout the country to submit
proposals for art and music programs that their schools are unable to fund.
A panel of judges will then review and select proposals quarterly, and
awards will be announced monthly. Teachers and their schools will receive
grants from $200 to $10,000 to be used to implement their programs. At the
conclusion of a program, the selected teacher(s) will supply Airborne with a
recap, which will then be posted on this website.

School students nationwide, grades K through 12, are invited to enter this 
Organic School Garden Awards competition. If you're a kid who believes that 
you can improve your health and the health of the earth by gardening, this 
contest is for you!

Toyota International Teacher Program 

Program participants will travel along the Caribbean slope of Costa Rica, 
meeting and talking with indigenous and community leaders, school 
representatives and scientists to learn how Costa Ricans are balancing 
environmental conservation with community development. They will see how 
innovative strategies are being implemented in the areas of development, 
agronomy, conservation and education. Selected teachers will also experience 
first-hand the majestic rainforest while making personal connections with the 
people who live and work there.

The Best Buy te@ch program recognizes creative uses of interactive technology 
in K-12 classrooms. Winning te@ch programs focus on kids using technology to 
learn standards-based curriculum, rather than on teaching students to use 
technology or educators using technology that children aren�t able to use 
hands-on. The purpose of te@ch is to reward schools for the successful 
interactive programs they have launched using available technology.

through digital imaging and the power of visual learning.

These programs include the Lockheed Martin Space Day Education Initiative, 
MATHCOUNTS�, National Engineers Week and employee mentoring programs 
nationally and in our local communities. Lockheed Martin dedicates most of 
its education funding to these activities. On occasion it considers local 
programs that support these priorities.
