2nd Quarter
Friday
Be sure you have your poem to work on over break and prepare for your oral
picture story presentation if you are taking the mid-term.
Wednesday 12/16 (6th) or Thursday 12/17 (5th)
Today we took a test on the future and conditional. Homework: If you're
taking the exam, prepare for the oral presentation part which is to choose one
of two picture stories. In class today, we chose a poem which will be
memorized and presented at the beginning of the 2nd semester. Also, be sure
that your Spanish 3 Years workbook is on the shelf, and Chapter 7 is ready to
be graded.

Conditional. Tomorrow we will have a test on formation and usage of these
tenses and we will leave our workbooks in class for grading.

studyspanish.com chapters 99 and 104.
Friday 12/11
Today we reviewed the rest of the orthography and punctuation worksheets in
preparation for Monday's test. There will be no punctuation on the test, but
you will have to know the rules we discussed on the powerpoint and be able to
divide words into syllables, tell where the natural stress would fall, say
whether a word is aguda, llana, esdrújula, etc. and place a diacritical accent
mark on words based on their meaning. Homework: Spanish 3 Years Chapter 7 on
future and conditional for Tuesday (quiz the following day). Also, for extra
credit, you may do studyspanish.com grammar lessons 99 and 104, print the
report card showing the quiz and test results for those lessons only, and turn
it in by Tuesday. Study for the accentuation and syllabification test. Also,
if your composition notebook is not on the shelf, you need to bring it by
Monday so that I can enter the grade for your 3rd entry using the preterite
and imperfect tenses. If your notebook is not currently on the shelf, your
grade is a Z, because I just entered those grades, and although you may have
done the essay and had it graded already, I need to see it again, so bring it
to me!
Thursday 12/10
Today we reviewed all of the orthographic accent homework and discussed the
diacritical accent mark words. Homework: All diacritical accent mark
