Mission For The Class

Spanish 2 is a continuation of the level one class. Students are expected to
build upon basic vocabulary and grammar concepts learned in Spanish 1. They
will practice and improve their conversational skills, their writing
abilities, and their listening comprehension in the target language.
Additionally, they will gain an understanding of the culture and countries of
various Spanish-speaking groups. As the teacher, my personal mission for my
students is that they will learn to feel confidence in their ability to learn
a foreign language, and that they will have a positive experience in language
learning and cultural appreciation that will go with them into their future
lives.
Spanish 3 Honors is a continuation of Spanish 2. The students will focus on more advanced
grammar concepts and improve their listening and speaking skills. They will also practice their
writing skills in Spanish as well as reading more difficult stories in the language. Culture will
continue to be an important focus as well.
Spanish 4 Honors takes the study of Spanish to a level where the students are using
everything they have learned. They will be functioning primarily in Spanish
throughout the course of this class while studying grammar, literature, art,
history, and culture.
