Format of the test:
- Multiple Choice is 50 % of your score (55 minutes)
- 80 questions (40 from 1450 - 1815; 40 from 1815 - present)
- 37 % are political/diplomatic;
37 % are social/economic;
& 26 % are cultural/intellectual
- Questions include charts, maps, graphs, political cartoons,
art, and the dreaded "All of the following EXCEPT"
- ESSAY Questions make up the other 50% of your score
*** Thesis must be explicit with support/analysis of your argument***
- DBQ (45 % of this half of your score)
60 minutes (15 prepare & 45 write the answer)
- Follow the DBQ rubric!
- 2 FRQ essays (equal 55 % of this half of your score)
35 minutes to select, prepare, & write EACH essay
- 1 from 1450 - 1815; 1 from 1815 - present
* You will have a choice out of 3 questions for both
