The AP Euro Exam small medium large AP EUROPEAN HISTORY EXAM FRIDAY MAY 7, 2009 @ 12:00 noon Review: PRACTICE TEST - SATURDAY APRIL 24 @ 10 am The Princeton Review - Cracking the AP European History Exam (or other) (4th quarter review/preparation for the exam) - Interpreting/analyzing documents - DBQ & FRQ essay writing - Thesis writing - Practice multiple choice exams Format of the test: - Multiple Choice is 50 % of your score (55 minutes) - 80 questions (40 from 1450 - 1815; 40 from 1815 - present) - 37 % are political/diplomatic; 37 % are social/economic; & 26 % are cultural/intellectual - Questions include charts, maps, graphs, political cartoons, art, and the dreaded "All of the following EXCEPT" - ESSAY Questions make up the other 50% of your score * Thesis must be explicit with support/analysis of your argument* - DBQ (45 % of this half of your score) 60 minutes (15 prepare & 45 write the answer) - Follow the DBQ rubric! - 2 FRQ essays (equal 55 % of this half of your score) 35 minutes to select, prepare, & write EACH essay - 1 from 1450 - 1815; 1 from 1815 - present * You will have a choice out of 3 questions for both * BE SURE TO READ ALL QUESTIONS & PLAN YOUR ANSWERS!* REMINDER: RELAX & TRUST YOURSELF!!!
