About The Teacher
This is my third year at Coral Glades (although I have been teaching in Broward county since 1999), and I am excited to teach Spanish 1 this 2009-2010 school year. I have a Bachelor's degree (Major- Spanish/Minor- Secondary Education) from the University of Florida, and a Master’s of Education degree (Major- Curriculum & Instruction/ Specialization- Spanish) from Florida Atlantic University. At one point, I pursued a doctoral degree in Organizational Leadership; however, that is on hold for now. I enjoy traveling, and have lived in both Mexico and Spain. I also have a five year old daughter who started kindergarten this year. I hope you will enjoy learning Spanish as much as I enjoy teaching it.

Mission
My intention is for my students to increase their knowledge and excitement for learning a second (or in some of your cases, 3+) language. The goal to become a polyglot (great word- look it up) should be fun, and I hope that while we work together, your fear to perform will decrease, while your ability to communicate increases.
