Languages are not so foreign anymore as people are spreading their languages and cultures all over the world. SPANISH HONOR SOCIETY I am the sponsor of the Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica. Check out our website under "clubs" at www.coralspringshigh.org. You can find some basic facts on this site. TUTORING The Spanish Honor Society has initiated a program to help students who are in need of help with Spanish. If you are in need of tutoring, just show up to room 612 (my room) any Monday after school...have an idea of what you need help with. If you are interested in tutoring, see Mrs. Raposo. You can get service hours for this. WORLD LANGUAGES ACADEMIC COMPETITION The competition this year for World Languages is in early February. This is a great opportunity for students who are passionate about studying Spanish to take on a challenge and showcase their talents. It's a great experience! However, you will need plenty of time to prepare. Keep a look-out for more information coming this fall. HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH "El Mes de la Herencia Hispana" celebrates and recongnizes the rich cultural, political, economical, social and cultural influence of "los hispanos" in the United States. It is celebrated from September 15 to October 15. Check out this link to read more about it in Spanish: www.usaid.gov/espanol/meshispana.html
