About The Teacher To The Parents

  Welcome to sixth grade!  My name is Lauren Cagianello and I 
have the privilege of being your child’s teacher for the 2008-2009 school 
year.  This is my second year teaching middle school.  I have my B.S. in 
Elementary Education from Barry University located in Miami Shores. 

  My classroom is designed as a student-centered environment that encourages 
inquiry and independence.  Students are encouraged to question theory, 
exercise independence , and use their creativity in order to be all that 
they can be.  I believe in holding high expectations for my students. 
 
 I encourage you to discuss expectations and long-range goals with your 
child.  If you haven not done so already, become actively involved in our 
school community. Being involved contributes to a more positive academic 
environment for your child and shows them that their education is important.
