You must come in person to fill out an application and provide proof of your current resident address, or business or property ownership. Children under 14 need a parent or guardian to register them. Examples of acceptable verification of current address may be a Florida driver's license, a lease or tax bill, a current utility bill, student report card or occupational license. How much does a Library Card cost? There is no charge for a Library Card for North Miami residents or for people who own business or property in North Miami. Residents of Hialeah, North Miami Beach and the Miami-Dade Public Library System Special Taxing District enjoy Reciprocal borrowing priviliges. All others will be charged a nonresident fee of $50.00 annually. A three (3) month card is available for $15.00. Does the Library have computers and Internet access for the public? The Library has public access computers available on a first-come, first- serve basis. Photo identification and a signed computer user agreement form are required on the first visit. Children under 18 years old must have a parent sign the computer user agreement form on the first visit.
