Welcome to first grade at David Lawrence Jr. K-8 center! I would like to
take this opportunity to tell you about myself. I am a Florida International
University graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and
Early Childhood Education. I have been teaching in Miami-Dade County for the
past twelve years. I love being in the classroom with my students. It is a
joy for me to work with young students and help them to achieve their highest
potential while also encouraging them to discover the fun of learning.
Aside from teaching, I enjoy reading, exercising, going to the movies, and
mostly spending time with my family. I look forward to a great year in first
grade!
The educational mission of David Lawrence Jr. K-8 Center is to cultivate and
enrich the lives of our students through research based curriculum
coupled with a strong sense of community involvement where all children will
achieve their personal and academic potential.
My class mission is to provide a supportive, positive atmosphere where my
students feel safe, happy, and loved. It will be my goal to provide a
variety of learning activities to meet the needs of all my students. I will
use small group instruction, technology, and enriching learning centers to
achieve our goals. Parental involvement is very important. I look forward to
working with you and your child.
