Sunday, February 26th

Hi Wolverines and Wolverines' parents.

Here's what's coming up this week:

For those of you who might not have seen this yet, this was my morning message to you on Class Dojo:

Good morning dear parents.

I hope by now you have read through your child's writing samples & can see their personal growth. I am so proud of each of my Wolverines. Right now I just left AC Moore to pick up a surprise for the children for Tuesday. I did notice they had St. Patrick's Day goodies on sale. If you haven't already sent in your donations for our BINGO Night theme basket, today would be a great day to visit AC Moore. AND while you're there, right next door is Office Depot, where I also purchased some awesome pencils for the children to use on Tuesday. If you're in a giving mood,  I'd really appreciate some more of these fantastic pencils for the children. Here's a picture of done to choose from. (Please refer to Class Dojo for the pictures.) As always, thank you for your continued love & support!!

  • FSA Writing Test - On Friday the children brought home their Mini Writing Portfolios for you to look over together. I'm sure you were VERY impressed, as am I with their writing. In fact, I'm sitting here now writing my comments & scores for their last essay, which they wrote on Friday. From the beginning of the year, my goal for each of your children was not only to become more proficient writers, but to also really LIKE writing. I also challenged them to match or beat my class average from last year, which was an "8." They certainly have the potential to do this on Tuesday!

Would you please make sure the Mini Writing Portfolios come back to school tomorrow!

  • Foundation's Annual BINGO/PASTA Night: Please let this serve as a reminder for those of you who haven't had a chance to send in your donations for our basket. In order for Mrs. Echie & I to have time to put the basket together, would you please send in your donations by this Friday, March 3rd.

Also, don't miss out on this exciting evening of FOOD, GAMES, & PRIZES!! Please purchase your tickets in advance by sending in the yellow form.
  • Dr. Seuss's Birthday on Thursday In honor of Dr. Seuss's birthday, my Wolverines can wear ANYTHING related to Dr. Seuss on this day. I also hope you'll join us in the cafeteria from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. for our Annual Dr. Seuss Night

Important Upcoming Dates
:

Mon. Feb. 27th       Writing Portfolios due back!

Tues. Feb. 28th      FSA Writing Assessment & Meet the                                Masters Presentation

Monday, February 20th

Hi Wolverines and Wolverines' parents.

Here's what's coming up this week:

  • Today's day off from school was to honor our presidents, past & present. I hope you enjoyed the day off from work with your children. If you weren't off, then who was watching them? LOL
  • Progress Folders - Progress Folders will go home again by the end of this week

Accelerated Reader - We just completed the 5th week of this quarter, therefore your Wolverine should have at least 15 points as of last Friday. I will update you on your child's progress tomorrow. Please remember if your child does NOT meet their required goal of 25 points for the quarter, they will receive a "3" on their Report Card in the area of: "Doesn't complete assignments." Unfortunately, this will keep your child from receiving any Honor Roll for the 3rd quarter and that would be a shame. Together, I know we can do this! Thank you as always for your support.

  • FSA Writing Test - A letter came home recently informing you about the 4th & 5th grade FSA Writing Assessment, which takes place NEXT Tuesday, February 28th, first thing in the morning. I am so proud of my Wolverines' progress with their writing and how they have grown as writers! Samples of their essays will be included in their Progress Folders, which are going home on Friday. I urge you to sit with your child and let them walk you through their development as writers. Their papers will have scores, comments from me, and their own self-reflections. Please make sure these essays come back to school on Monday.

Speaking of the FSA Writing Assessment, since much of our focus this week during our ELA block will be on writing, I've decided to postpone our reading of Mr. Popper's Penguins until after the Writing Assessment. This means the vocabulary graphic organizer AND sentences for each word for chapters #7-14 are NOT due until next week.
  • Foundation's Annual BINGO/PASTA Night: Last week the children brought home a letter from ME promoting the Annual BINGO/PASTA Night, which is being held on Friday, March 10th. It also outlined the items we'll need to fill our basket. I'm putting a copy of the letter here just in case your Wolverine "misplaced it!" As always, thank you in advance because I know how generous you are and how much you support our wonderful school! Please send in your donations as soon as you can.

Here's a COPY of the letter for the Theme Basket:

Dear parents,

As you know our class, along with Mrs. Echemendia’s class is sponsoring “A Luck of the Irish” Theme Basket for this year’s Pasta/BINGO Night, which takes place on March 10th. These baskets are either raffled off or placed in the auction, helping to raise funds for our school.

Please help us fill our basket with items from the suggested list below. We’d appreciate you sending in your donations by Friday, March 3rd.

Here are some suggestions of items you can donate
:

·

We’d like MOST of the basket to include a variety of “Scratch Off”  Lottery tickets (any dollar amount)

·
St. Patrick’s Day decorations (eyeglasses, necklaces, headwear,  and/or a green St. Patrick’s Day themed t-shirt & socks)

·
Cash donations for Mrs. Echie & Mrs. Wooch to purchase items to  complete the basket of goodies.

·
Anything to add to the theme, such as a stuffed leprechaun,    rainbow themed items, and gold coins with or without a pot of  gold

Thank you in advance for your generosity!

 Warmest regards,

 Mrs. Echie & Mrs. Wooch

Sunday, December 11th

Hi Wolverines and Wolverines' parents.

Now can you believe that our winter break is only 2 weeks away?

As we head into the next week, here's a few important items I'd like to mention:

  • Shark Valley/Everglades Field Trip
As of Friday, only 13 Wolverines have PAID for this EXCITING trip. (I'd love to see more of my kids go if possible.) Please remember the LAST day to pay online is this Tuesday! If you have any questions at all about the field trip, please don't hesitate to email me or Dojo me. I'm happy to answer any questions you might have.

  • St. Augustine Parent Meeting- Speaking of field trips. There is a MANDATORY Parent Meeting next Monday, December 19th for all parents of students interested in going to the St. Augustine field trip in May. Of course, I'm repeating this partI'm VERY hopeful that every Wolverine will want to go on this trip. It's my favorite and I think it's the BEST field trip around! Please mark your calendars and plan on attending EITHER the morning meeting at 8:15 a.m. or the evening meeting at 6:00 p.m. A reminder will go home with the children on Friday, but in the meantime please put the date & time on your calendar. Again, I'd like to repeat that you only need to come to ONE of the meetings, either the morning or the evening meeting.

  • "Think Tank" Visit -Ms. de Zayas was here the week before last with about 50 visitors from many schools who are new to the "Digital 3/4/5" format, meaning laptops for each of their students. Our classroom was one of about 8 classes visited by these administrators & teachers. Your children were amazing! We brainstormed how they might want to present our classroom in a way that focused on collaborative learning, where they could show off their leadership skills. They were STARS!! The visitors left messages on sticky notes in the office for the staff. I took pictures & will post them for YOU to see on Class Story. I know your hearts will melt when you read the wonderful comments about your children in particular!

  • Sweet Treats -THANK YOU so much to the families who already sent in their bags of SWEET TREATS!! If each family sent in one or two bags of sweet treats such as: Starburst, Smarties, any packaged Chocolates, Airheads, Lollipops, just to name a few. We would be stocked for awhile and extremely grateful. (The children visit the Sweet Treat Jars every week.) Thank you for your generosity.

As we head into the next week, I'd like to mention a few important items:

Hi Wolverines and Wolverines' parents.

  • Meet the Masters - First and foremost, I'd like to thank Isabel's mom, Arianefor coming in last week for our first Meet the Masters presentation. • 1st Quarter Homework Heroes Lunch Bunch - I'd like to congratulate all of my Wolverines who earned an invitation to our first Homework Heroes Lunch Bunch. This meant that these Wolverines completed ALL of their homework during the first quarter. (I did allow the children to use ONE homework pass if they had earned one!)  If your child earned this privilege, they will need to bring their snack & lunch to school on Thursday, but I will supply their DRINK during their lunch! I'll also have a special treat as well!

  • Wucher's Warehouse - We have a VERY busy week indeed! We will be holding our very first Wucher's Warehouse of the year this Friday. Right after the children come back from lunch they will have the opportunity to SPEND their High Fives on all the GOODIES our sponsors will have donated. Speaking of that! Last week I sent home a letter to "5" families who graciously offered to sponsor our September/October & November stores. Would you kindly send in your donations ASAP? Thank you very much! • To keep in the spirit of promoting "voting" and supporting the election process of the United States, would you please tell the children that I'd like them to come to school dressed wearing RED, WHITE, & BLUE!!!

  • Election Day! Once the polls close and the results start coming in, my Wolverines have been given the assignment to keep track of these results on their Electoral College Map. BLUE is for Clinton & RED is for Trump. (This is due on Wednesday. I know the results come in VERY late, so we will finish these in class on Wednesday.)

  • AR for Quarter #2 - Please know how much I ADORE my Wolverines and think they are the most amazing children! With that said, we did NOT reach our AR Goal of 100% for the 1st quarter. Sunday, October 8th
Hi Wolverines and Wolverines' parents.

Yes, another very SHORT week has come & gone with your amazing children! As we head into the 8th week of school, I'd like to mention a few important items:

Thankfully, Hurricane Matthew changed his course and left South Florida alone.
I know we all send our thoughts & best wishes to those areas where Hurricane Matthew did some damage!

Speaking of Hurricane Matthew. As you know, we recently began an in-depth study of hurricanes and "What Makes Them So Dangerous?" Over the next few weeks, my Wolverines will continue to delve into this critical question. Who knows? Maybe the next Dr. Rick Knabb, the director of The National Hurricane Center, and parent of a former Wolverine, is sitting in our classroom!

I'd also like to wish those of you who celebrate Yom Kippur, an early Happy Holiday wish!

  • Party Money As of last Wednesday, only "9" Wolverines had turned in their Party Money. Please remember that this money is used for our class parties and activities for your children. Please help us make these parties a HUGE success by sending in your money in the envelope ASAP! Thank you very much.
  • Boosterthon: Here's another chance to support our school's wonderful PTA by helping your child raise money for our school's FUN RUN, which was moved to this Friday. Please check out our Wolverine's Team page. Thank you for your continued support. You are the BEST parents around!!

  • Classroom Supplies- Many times I am asked by parents if there are supplies we need for the class. Thank you to those of you who generously donated items from the "Wish List" posted at Open House. If you didn't have an opportunity to do so, we would really appreciate your help with the following items: (Thank YOU in advance!)

  • Accelerated Reader/AR: Please note, in order for the children to stay on track with their "25" AR points for the quarter, they should have 21 points at this time. In order to assist my Wolverines, I sent home a list of SSYR books, their point values, and a suggestion of which books to read during each quarter. The children have this document in their STAR Binders. Please have them show this to you so they can discuss their "Plan of Action" for reaching their goal!

I'd like to wish those of you who celebrate Rosh Hashana, a very Happy New Year!

  • Yes, another week has come & gone with your amazing children! As we head into the 7th week of school, I'd like to mention a few important items:

  • DonorsChoose.org: Thanks to your GENEROSITY, our project, "Going Places With iPads" was funded!! Guess what? The iPads were already delivered to our classroom! How amazing is that? I can't wait to see my Wolverines in action using the iPads. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts.

  • Party Money Last Wednesday your children should have come home with a letter, attached to an envelope from our Room Mom, Monica Gutierrez, asking you for money for our class parties and activities for the first part of the school year. I met with Monica on Friday and we have planned some very EXCITING activities for the children for these parties. Please help us make these parties a HUGE success by sending in your money in the envelope by Thursday, October 6th. Thanks!

Sunday, September 25th

Hi Wolverines and Wolverines' parents.

Let's welcome Aiden to our class as our newest Wolverine!

  • Yes, it's hard to believe that another week has come & gone with your wonderful children! As we head into the 6th week of school, I'd like to mention a few important items:

DonorsChoose.org: Throughout the years I've written many grants to enhance my Wolverines' learning environment. Last week your children should have given you a letter, which outlined a very exciting grant that I wrote for THEM: Going Places With iPads. Many of my parents from last year purchased DonorsChoose gift cards, so I was able to apply $880 towards our newest project. Now thanks to the generosity of some of our current Wolverine Families: (Patel, Leverone, Torres, & Griffiths) we are only $104.00 away from being funded. Please consider helping us out. (Here's a copy of the letter I sent home last week. Just in case you didn't see it!)

Dear Wolverine Parents,

I want to make sure my Wolverines have the materials they need to succeed, so I just created a classroom project at DonorsChoose.org: “Going Places With iPads!”

DonorsChoose.org is an online charity that makes it easy to help classrooms with innovative projects. If you chip in a little it would be a great help to provide your children a learning opportunity necessary for 21st century learners. Give as much as you as you like or as little as you want, because every penny counts.

Please read about the project and share it with family and friends to help us reach our goal faster! Here are some suggestions: Post-it on Facebook, send emails, and text or call friends about the project. It’s easy to do. Just look on the right side of the web page and click under “Share Mrs. Wucher’s Project.”

If you chip in to help my Wolverines, you will get awesome photos and our heartfelt thanks. Please visit the link below and show your generosity.

https://www.donorschoose.org/mwooch

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Warmest regards,

Mrs. Wooch

  • Go Math Online By now your children have become EXPERTS accessing their Go Math Personal Math Trainer (PMT) Online assignments. We reviewed the many options available to the students if their Think Central does NOT work. With that said, I would like to add how beneficial these online assignments can be for all of us. It gives my Wolverines instant feedback, and they can use this to see their strengths & weaknesses. This also gives me insight into their strengths & weaknesses. You can see your child's progress ANYTIME. Just ask to see their report on Think Central. Please note - I will reassign assignments online if your child earns a score below 70%.

  • Multiplication Facts- We had our 4th multiplication quiz last Friday and not all of my Wolverines were MASTERS of their MULTIPLICATION. This time the children had to complete "51" facts in three minutes. I will be repeating this quiz one last time this coming Friday. If your child did not do as well as they should, please assist them at home. I have several suggestions and will speak to my Wolverines again tomorrow. We are in this together. Remember there's strength in numbers!

  • Celebrity of the Month - Our very first Celebrity of the Month, which encompasses Habit #1: Being Proactive, goes to Andrea Gonzalez Revilla. Congrats Andrea!!

  • The Progress Folders - Although the Progress Folders went home on Friday WITH a Progress Report. I will be sending home an updated report on Monday. Here's why!

As you know the children just took their first Because of Winn Dixie Comprehension Test on Friday, which was quite rigorous. I also spent quite a bit of time over the weekend looking through their journals (Science, Reading, & Writing) to make sure my Wolverines are putting forth their best effort. As a result, many of the grades have changed, therefore I felt it was important to update you on your child’s progress as soon as possible. (This note will be attached to your child's NEW Progress Report, which will have updated grades.)

  • Reflections: This is a REMINDER that your child's Reflections' Project, which is a requirement in our class, is due this Friday, September 30th.

(Please make sure you've read the rules for your child's category very carefully. Also, please remember to have your child bring their project to class first before turning it in. Of course we can't wait to see everyones' creations!)

Important Upcoming Dates:
Tues, Sept. 27th    PTA Boosterthon Kick Off
Mon, Oct. 3rd         No School - Rosh Hashana

Sunday, September 18th

Hi Wolverines and Wolverines' parents.

  • Another fantastic week has come & gone with your wonderful children! As we head into the 5th week of school, I'd like to mention a few important items:
  • Go Math Online As you are well aware, we have been having some glitches with the updated Go Math Pilot Program, both in your homes and at school. Sometimes my Wolverines CAN access their assignments on Think Central & sometimes they can't. Hopefully, all of these problems will be straightened out very soon. In the meantime, if your child CANNOT get onto Think Central for their homework, I will show them several alternatives. Not to worry!
  • Multiplication Facts- We had our 3rd multiplication quiz last Friday and most of my Wolverines were MASTERS of their MULTIPLICATION. This time the children had to complete "33" facts in two minutes. If your child did not do as well as they should, please assist them at home. I have several suggestions and will speak to my Wolverines again tomorrow. We are in this together. Remember there's strength in numbers! This week I'm quizzing my Wolverines on their 2's, 5's, doubles, 9's, & the last ten facts. (The list is in their STAR Binders.)

  • Wucher's Warehouse - I'd like to send out this request again for VOLUNTEERS to help work the store. If enough parents contact me, then you'd only have to come in once or twice during the year to help out. Please remember that the children work hard to earn their High Fives so they can spend them at the store. Wucher's Warehouse is usually about one hour, on a Friday, throughout the year on designated days. If this is something you can do, please email me ASAP. Thank you very much!

  • The Progress Folders will go home by Friday. Thank you for your patience. Please remember that much of your child's work is around our classroom and doesn't come home for sometime. Also, I'll tell you what I'll remind my Wolverines when I hand them their report with their grades. Their grades LOOK fantastic right now, however please keep in mind that I am slowly introducing more challenging work, so many of the grades might change as the quarter progresses. Also, please remind your child that although grades are important, it's MORE important to me that your child is learning, loving school, and is challenged.
  • Reflections: This is a REMINDER that your child's Reflections' Project, which is a requirement in our class, is due on September 30th.
(Please make sure you've read the rules for your child's category very carefully. Also, please remember to have your child bring their project to class first before turning it in. Of course we can't wait to see everyones' creations!)
Important Upcoming Dates:
Wed, Sept. 21st    International Peace Day - Wear White
Thur, Sept. 22nd
4th Grade "Chalk for Peace" Decoration Time!
That's all for now! :)

Sunday, September 11th

Hi Wolverines and Wolverines' parents.

  • WOW! It's hard to believe that week #3 has come and gone already. As we head into the 4th week of school, I'd like to mention a few important items:
  • Hispanic Heritage Month- Beginning this Thursday, September 15th through October 15th, our school will be participating in a variety of activities to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. Each class is asked to decorate their bulletin board in a way that honors Hispanic culture. Over the next few weeks your children will be focusing on many inspiring heroes from various Hispanic backgrounds from around the world. Our hallway bulletin board will reflect their learning in an expressive way. I can't wait to see what they come up with!
  • STEM Cup Stack Challenge #2 - The week before last I was SO impressed with my Wolverines when they worked together on their first STEM Cup Stack Challenge. Of course I HAD to invite Ms. de Zayas to come in and see the children in ACTION!!! Not only did Ms. de Zayas come, but she brought along Mr. Martin as well. This time the Cup Stack Challenge was very hard and took more teamwork. If you walked outside our room, you would have heard a lot of excitement and engagement. I couldn't have been more proud. Both Ms. de Zayas & Mr. Martin were equally impressed. (I'm still trying to upload the videos for you to see.)
  • Multiplication Facts- We had our 2nd multiplication quiz last Friday and again most of my Wolverines were MASTERS of their MULTIPLICATION. This week I'm quizzing them on their 2's, 5's, doubles, & 9's.

    VOLUNTEERS:
  • Room Mom - I'd like to thank all of the PARENTS who volunteered to be our esteemed Room Mom. PTA has asked that we select ONLY ONE!! (Oh dear me.) With that in mind, I placed the names in a hat & the lucky parent chosen was: Monica Gutierrez, Santiago's mom. My other wonderful parents will be part of the Room Parent Team. They will assist Monica with the class parties and other activities throughout the year. A huge thank you goes out to: Royce Jalazo & Matthew Jalazo (Hayden's parents), Ariane Elizalde (Isabel's mom), Erika Carrasco (Rodrigo's mom), and Norha Robledo (Catalina's mom).
  • Meet the Masters Another thank you goes out to Ariane Elizalde for offering to be our Meet the Masters Presenter. I for one, LOVE this program and know how beneficial it is for the children.
  • Wucher's Warehouse - I'd like to thank Matthew Jalazo in advance for offering to take on the responsibility of being our Wucher's Warehouse Store Manager. Many of you graciously signed up to sponsor a month and purchase items for the store. Mr. Jalazo will contact you ahead of time. We are also in need of other parents who would like to volunteer their time to work at the store. It's usually about one hour, on a Friday, throughout the year on designated days. If this is something you can do, please email me ASAP. Thank you very much!

  • The FIRST Progress Folders will go home before the end of this week.

  • MISSING PAPERS - Some of my Wolverines are missing some VERY important papers that were suppose to be turned in last week. PLEASE ask your child if they are one of these children. They KNOW who they are because they wrote themselves a reminder in their agendas!! Some of the papers missing are:
    1. The pink - Parent Goals form
    2. The BCPS - Parent Permission Form for STEM
    3. The Reflections Acknowledgement Form

Important Upcoming Dates

Thur, Sept. 17th Early Release Day
That's all for now! :)

Monday, September 5th

Hi Wolverines and Wolverines' parents.

Here's your second NewsFlash of the year!

First, a few words from Mrs. Wooch.
  • Another wonderful second week of school has just passed by and my Wolverines have quickly become a new family & are blending nicely with their new classmates. Nothing proved it better than their TEAMWORK for our "Cup Stack" STEM Activity. The best way for me to tell you about it is to SHOW you your children in action! (I've been trying to upload the videos & I'm having technical difficulties. I'll let you know by a new NewsFlash when they're up and running.)
  • Happy Labor Day - I hope everyone enjoyed the holiday with their family. Whether you had a picnic in the RAIN or stayed indoors, hopefully you relished the extra time with your loved ones.

  • Open House - Thank you again for coming out last week to support our Open House. We had 24 out of 25 families represented, which was wonderful! I'd also like to thank you again for the opportunity to teach your delightful children. And now that Open House is over, we can get started on our Learning Adventure!!!

One final THANK YOU to the families who have already generously donated items from the Wish List Table. We really appreciate your kindness & generosity.

As we head into the 3rd week of school,
I'd like to mention a few important items:

  • Picture Day- This Friday is the first picture day of the year. If you are ordering pictures for your children, they may dress out of uniform as long as it is within school code.
  • PTA Membership - As you know we have an amazing PTA who support our school and children in so many ways. In the past I have always had 100% parent participation, and am hoping for your support again this year. If you haven't had the opportunity to join yet, would you please consider sending in the white envelope that came inside the VIP folder. Thanks in advance. It also doesn't hurt that the first few classes receive an Ice Cream Sundae PARTY!! Who doesn't dig ice cream?
  • Multiplication Facts-  We had our first multiplication quiz last Friday and ALL of my Wolverines were MASTERS of their MULTIPLICATION.  This week I'm quizzing them on their 2's, 5's, & doubles(Please ask your children about the new word they learned last week, automaticity.)
  • Remind App - Please remember to register for the Remind app on your devices so you can be a part of the group blasts that come throughout the year.
  • Digital 4 - Last week we started to become familiar with the Lenovo laptops & the Schoology platform. Beginning this week I will start to assign some homework through Schoology. Please feel free to ask your child to see what they are being asked to do. Hopefully they should be able to "walk you through it."
  • Last but not least, the STAR BINDERS will soon include sections divided by the "tab dividers." One of the sections will be DATA. We feel that it's important for the children to track some of their assessments so they KNOW where they are in order to better help themselves. I will be setting these sections up this week, so you can be on the lookout for this information shortly. (Please note that I will be conferencing with the children throughout the year to teach them "what to do with this data.")
Important Upcoming Dates:
Mon, Sept. 5th      No School - Labor Day
Fri, Sept. 9th        Individual Picture Day
Thur, Sept. 15th   Early Release Day

*Clothing Drive all this week!

Sunday August 28th

Welcome new Wolverines and parents. Here's your first official NewsFlash of the year!

First, a few words from Mrs. Wooch.
  • I am extremely excited for our year together! I know you are going to love this website because it will help keep you informed about what is going on in our class. Please take a look around the website to get to know all of the different sections. One of the important sections is the Homework page, where I will post the daily homework. This alleviates the problem of a student forgetting to write it in their agenda. However, I still encourage my students to write in their agendas as part of our daily routine.

  • Another important section is the Newsflash page, which is my "weekly update" that tells you all of the important information going on in the upcoming week. It will have reminders, important dates, and any other information that I think you should know about. Please take a few minutes to subscribe to my Newsflash by clicking the link "Subscribe to this Newsflash" at the bottom of this page. You can link it to your email so whenever I send the Newsflash out, you will be notified!

I am SO excited for the new school year and look forward to working with YOU!

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at melissa.wucher@browardschools.com or you can click on the link to the left.

  • WOW, what an amazing first week of school this has been! I am so pleased with how quickly we are becoming a new family & creating a positive learning environment.

Here's a few reminders about this week:

  • Open House - I can't wait to see you all again this Wednesday, August 31st at 7:00 p.m. Your children have been very busy helping to prepare our room for your visit. Hopefully you've been told not only is it important for you to come and learn all about our class, but your child can earn a No Homework Pass just because you attended. Now that's what I call a WIN-WIN!

  • PTA Membership - As you know we have an amazing PTA who support our school and children in so many ways. If you haven't had the opportunity to join yet, would you please consider sending in the white envelope that came inside the purple VIP folder. Thanks in advance. It also doesn't hurt that the first few classes receive an Ice Cream Sundae PARTY!! Who doesn't dig ice cream?

  • Multiplication Facts- FYI - Fourth graders are expected to know their multiplication facts with fluency & accuracy. With this said, beginning this week I will help your children become MASTERS of MULTIPLICATION. It involves practicing at home daily until the facts can be stated without hesitation (automaticity). This week I am quizzing my Wolverines on their 2's & 5's. Next up are the doubles.

  • Digital 4 - I'm happy to announce that my Wolverines have already used their Lenovo laptops this past week, which they loved. I know how excited the children were to use this wonderful resource. This week we'll spend some time learning about creating the most effective "digital environment" in our classroom. We will begin with discussions of "Digital Citizenship."

Important Upcoming Dates:
Wednesday, August 31st    Open House
Monday, September 5th      No School - Labor Day
