Mrs. Cunningham has enjoyed working with the families and students at Fruitville Elementary since 1996. She received the Fruitville teacher of the year award in 2004-2005. Graduating summa cum laude from the University of South Florida in 1986, she obtained her Masters in Education in 2001. Loving and teaching children is her passion. She thanks God for her chosen vocation and is blessed with a great job at Fruitville Elementary.

Billy Cunningham is her husband and works as a Corrections Deputy at the Sarasota County Sheriff's Department. In Pompano Beach, her son, Bill Cunningham practices law at KS Attorneys. Leila, Alissa and Tessa, her three daughters, are currently attending the State College of FLorida (MCC) and live at home.
