It's hard to believe that the school year is winding down, and we are already planning for the next one! Chaipersons are needed for many P.T.C. activities for the 2009-2010 School Year. Please consider volunteering for one of these positions. The events can't happen without your help!
Volunteers are needed for: Fall Picnic, Father/Son Mini-Golf, Mother/Son Bowling, Annual School Auction, Fundraising (Sally Foster and Cookie Dough), Mother/Daughter Tea, Teaher Appreciation Week, and Field Day/Fun Fair. Contact Mrs. Jane Hamblin at janehamblin@gmail.com if you are interested or have any questions.
Fundraising money is hard at work at Grace Lutheran School! We recently replaced a slide on the playground, and we are in the process of getting estimates for several new computers for the school. "RenWeb" is up and running, and we hope that parents are taking advantage of this great tool to view students' grades and assignments! Also, the P.T.C. will be funding "Teacher Appreciation Week" and the "Scholastic Reading Counts" awards. A donation will be made to the "Pastor's Scholarship Fund," and we will also be funding a field day in May!

A MUSICAL THANK YOU!
Congratulations to EVERYONE who was involved in this year's musical. The performance was AWESOME! I am so proud of each and every one of you. All of you are truly gifts from God!
I want to take this opportunity to thank some folks who helped make the musical another huge success...
- Ray, Mihelle, and Jason Horsley -- "THE Orchestra" -- we couldn't do it without you: I was so happy to have live music again this year! No music, no musical! You were TREMENDOUS! Thank you for all of the hours of hard work you spent to make the performance extra special!
- Mrs. Sue Bley -- for the wonderful props, signs, artwork, set pieces, etc. Thanks for your willingness to help us out each year! You help give our performances that special touch!
- Mr. Eric Macke -- for your spotlighting expertise -- you are awesome and I really appreciate your support and help each year.
- Mrs. Susan Rand and Mrs. Anita Allwardt -- for helping with the big rehearsals with the chorus, and especially for dealing with the flags and exploding glow sticks!
- Mrs. Debbie Riber -- for fielding parent questions, dealing with me, selling tickets, printing all the programs. You are AWESOME!
- Mrs. Ellen Hockett -- for making deposits, managing the door. I really appreiate your dedication to our program even though Ben is in high school now.
- Mr. Eric Duffy -- for selling tickets at the door both nights. You were a big help!
- Mrs. Mary Lou Wells -- thank you for your unwavering support and a great curtain speech! You are an ABSOLUTE JOY to work for! Thank you for anothe rwonderful year!
- Mr. Cliff Allwardt, Mr. Ben Light, Mr. Eric Macke, Mr. Tippett, Mr. Jennings, Mr. Mobley, Mr. Rhodes, and the other helpers that I didn't see! -- thanks for lending your muscles to move set pieces for us. I have no idea what I would do without your help!
- Pastor Kevin Loughran -- for being so supportive and allowing us to use the sanctuary. Thanks for trusting us to care for the church as we rehearsed and performed. We left it all in one piece! I don't think we left any evidence of a musical for the weekend services!
- Mrs. Shaine Mobley -- for organizing the ticket sales, and collecting tickets and money from the students. I am SO glad to have your help!
- Mrs. Linda Forrest -- for the altering the "Elvis" costume.
- Ms. Rebecca Duchess -- for putting on such a glamorous red carpet cast party.
- Early Childhood Teachers -- thank you so much for helping to corral the kiddos for their extra special opening act performances! They were adorable!
- My Math Students, Spirit Singers, and NJHS Members -- thanks for ushering, ticket taking, helping with parking, and page turning for Mr. Horsley.
- STUDENTS -- for a MEMORABLE performance. I couldn't have been more proud of all your hard work. Thank you also for the beautiful roses as well as the gift certificates. I love each and every one of you!
- 8th Graders: Katy C. and Johnny B. -- I will REALLY miss you two next year! Good luck in high school! Stay involved in the arts!
- PARENTS -- for all of your support during the production!
- THE AUDIENCE -- for your support and for being such a great crowd. Please know that you presence, laughter, and applause make the students feel GREAT. You make all of their hard work worthwhile!
I really hope I didn't miss anyone! If I did, I'm truly sorry and please know that I appreciate you, too! I hope everyone has a bless'ed and restful summer. Stay tuned for next year's production
Lots of love,
Mrs. Jennifer Tippett
