Dear Parents/Guardians,

 

Please begin reviewing the attached list of words with your child.  When your child can read all the words on the page without error, they will be in my Reading Club.

 

My Reading Club is for students who have worked hard at home on learning to read sight words.  After they read the first list of words to me, they will be in my White Reading Club.  They will then receive a special treat and a new list of words to learn.  After every list is mastered, the students will move to a new colored Reading Club.  Every time they read a new list to me, they have to read the previous one too.

 

The club is a rewarding one that I hope will encourage your child to want to compete against themselves to get higher and higher in the club.  My TOP club is the Black Club.  Every colored level will receive a special treat and words of encouragement.  Please take time to review these words with your child (if they are difficult, try learning 5 at a time.)

 

How will I know when to have your child read me their list of words?  Jot me a note in their agenda!  I am so excited to hear your child read and succeed this year!
