11/2: Parents, feel free to call and schedule an appointment for a parent
conference. Team conference days are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from
8:20-8:50 A.M. in Portable #13.
Cross Country: The season is over. An organizational track meeting will
be forthcoming. Check my track page for updates.
Our first field trip will take place in December before the winter
vacation. Only the first 50 students who sign up will be eligible. Any
students who have D's or F's in conduct after the first nine week grading
period will not be allowed to go.
Textbook contracts were sent home on 9/8. It is required for
parents to sign the contracts or else their children cannot be issued books.
Advanced students will receive The Language of Literature and Writing and
Grammar. Regular students wil receive The Language of Literature and Writer's
Choice. Interactive Reader Plus workbooks were sent home on 9/1 and do not
have to be returned at the end of the school year. FCAT workbooks were sent
home on 9/18.
The next Reading Plus assignment (twenty-four forty-five minute
sessions total) is due 12/1. It will count as a grade in all subjects. See my
Reading Plus page for details about signing in. The computer lab is now open
on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays starting at 8:00 A.M. Meet in front of
the school and go with Ms. Campbell to the lab.
