Hi,
My name is Mrs. Cann. This is my first year teaching. I am so excited to be
at Holy Family and having the opportunity to teach first grade. I was an
assistant for second grade for two years at Holy Family. I also taught in
third grade for a couple months while the teacher was on maternity leave. I
interned for Orange County Public Schools in a first grade classroom for four
months. Then I came back to Holy Family and taught general 7th grade math for
the last semester of the 07-08 school year. I really love being a part of
Holy Family Team.
I am from Boston, MA . I went to St. Mary's for 8-12th grades. I decided to
go to Suffolk University in Boston to get my Bachelors. I received my
Bachelors in Sociology. After I graduated, I decided to move to Florida and
go to UCF and get my Masters. UCF has a wonderful program for people who
change careers. I was able to get my Masters in Elementary Education.
When I am not teaching, I love just spending time with my husband,
Rob and our dog, Sandy. We like to watch the Red Sox play and currently we
are training for a triathlon.
My goal is to see that everyone succeeds and does well in first grade.
