Dear Kindergarten Parents,
Welcome to Holy Family Catholic School! I want to give you some information
regarding the first few weeks of school. Below you will find a time schedule for Weeks 1 and 2.
All medical records MUST be in the office before your child can come to the classroom. If these medical records are not in by Monday, August 20th, unfortunately you will be requested to take your child home. (It’s a law!) So please be sure all your records are in the school office on or before Monday, August 20th.
On Monday, August 20th, please bring your child to the school lunchroom. Each child’s name tag will be on a table. Help your child locate his/her name tag. I am asking that all parents plan to stay with their child in the lunchroom until all the kindergartners have arrived. At that time I will gather the children and we will go into the classroom as a group and “wave” goodbye to you! Please meet us at the flagpole at the designated dismissal time the first week of school.
Please bring your child to the lunchroom each day the first week of school.
We will discuss the arrival and dismissal procedures at our Kindergarten Parent Meeting.
The schedule below outlines what materials should be brought in on what day. Please adhere to this! It’s too confusing to have all the items brought in the first day.
You will need to provide a snack each day for your child. Please be sure it is separate from your child’s lunch box. I will provide a snack on the first day of school. Please do not send a drink for snack. We have a water fountain in the classroom.

First Week of School: August 20-24: 7:40-11:30
The first week of school is half-day for Kindergarten.
Children bring a snack beginning August 21st.
Mandatory Parent Meeting: Wednesday, August 22nd: 7:00pm
(No children, please)
Second Week of School: August 27-31: 7:40-2:55
Children in Kindergarten will be dismissing 10 minutes early at a different location from the regular school dismissal. We will discuss this procedure at the Parent Meeting.
Bring a LUNCH WITH DRINK-- No food/drink may be purchased this week. This will give us an opportunity to become familiar with the lunch procedures.
Schedule for bringing in items on the supply list:
Note: Please unwrap the individual supplies. i.e. take crayons out of the box, pencils should be loose, glue sticks out of wrapper, etc. All the supplies should be in their supply box.I understand that people are having trouble finding the supply box indicated on the supply list. I’ve looked and can’t find them this year either! Just get what you can for now!
