Dear Kindergarten Parents,
Welcome to Holy Family Catholic School! We want to give you some information
regarding the first few weeks of school. Below you will find a time schedule for Weeks 1 and 2.
All medical records MUST be in the office before your child can come to the classroom. If these medical records are not in by Monday, August 19th, unfortunately you will be requested to take your child home. (It’s a law!) So please be sure all your records are in the school office on or before Monday, August 19th.
On Monday, August 19th, please bring your child to the school lunchroom. Each child’s name tag will be on a table. Help your child locate his/her name tag. We are asking that all parents plan to stay with their child in the lunchroom until all the kindergartners have arrived. At that time we will gather the children and go into the classroom as a group and “wave” goodbye to you! Please meet us at the flagpole at the designated dismissal time the first week of school.
Please bring your child to the lunchroom each day the first week of school.
We will discuss the arrival and dismissal procedures at our Kindergarten Parent Meeting.
The schedule below outlines what materials should be brought in on what day. Please adhere to this! It’s too confusing to have all the items brought in the first day.
You will need to provide a snack each day for your child. Please be sure it is separate from your child’s lunch box. We will provide a snack on the first day of school. Please do not send a drink for snack. We have a water fountain in the classroom.

First Week of School: August 19-21: 7:40-11:30
August 22-23: 7:40- 3:05
Children bring a snack beginning August 20st.
Supply List: Note: Please unwrap the individual supplies. i.e. take crayons out of the box, pencils should be loose, glue sticks out of wrapper, etc. All the supplies should be in their supply box.
--Supply Box with child's name on the top
--5 sharpened pencils (only five and please take out of package and sharpen)
--2 Large Pencil erasers (no pencil tops, please)
--2 boxes--8 count STANDARD colors only...NO FAT CRAYONS!
--3 large glues sticks
--2 Black dry erase markers (fat)
--2 large box of kleenex
--Rest Mat (labeled with your child's name) and Towel
(You may wish to bring this with you to the Parent Meeting)
--Wipe n Dries (Pop up from the top only)
--Waterless soap (Hand sanitizer with pump)
Mandatory Parent Meeting: Wednesday, August 21st: 7:00pm
(No children, please)
Second Week of School: August 26-30: 7:40-3:05
You may begin picking up your child in the designated areas.
Bring a LUNCH WITH DRINK-- No food/drink may be purchased this week. This will give us an opportunity to become familiar with the lunch procedures.
