K Parent Letters

Dear Parents, November 6, 2009

We have been able to secure just enough drivers for the field trip so we will be going as scheduled.

Thanksgiving Food Donations: Just a reminder that the Kindergarten class is responsible for donating: Stuffing, sweet potatoes, turkey gravy for our school’s Thanksgiving project. This food will be combined with the other classes’ donations to provide the parish Thanksgiving Dinner to those less fortunate than us and to help with the parish food pantry. Donations are being accepted from November 2-12. To date we do not have any donations in the Kindergarten box.

Uniform Regulations: Socks. Please see the following paragraph explaining the school’s regulation for socks. Many children are not wearing the uniform socks.

Kindergarten:

· red HFCS logo uniform shirt**

· regulation navy blue shorts or long pants (or skorts for girls)

· belts are not required, but loops should not be removed

· white crew socks

· athletic shoes (advised; Velcro closings preferred)

· official Holy Family Catholic School sweatshirt** or regulation navy uniform cardigan sweater

· official Holy Family Catholic School jacket**

No other sweatshirt or jacket is permitted to be worn inside the school building. All clothing should be labeled with the student’s name and grade.

(Note: Not all the orders have come in yet so this will go into effect when those orders are filled for sweatshirts/jackets)

Here is a sample picture of a “crew” sock:   (SEE HARDCOPY IN FRIDAY FOLDERS. Pictures didn't come out here!!!)

(“Quarter” Crew socks are not acceptable.)

Conferences: As mentioned earlier, I have scheduled conferences with parents for the kindergarten children over the past several months, therefore, unless you hear from me, you will not be involved in the conference days. If you have an older child in the school, you will see a conference form in classlogon.com but will notice there is not one for kindergarten. That is the reason!!

Barnes and Noble Fund Raiser: A big thank you to Eric Mailhot and Justin Groves for their book donations!

God Bless, Pam Ferguson
