I just want to let everyone know as of November 2009 I have passed my
national boards for art education.
I want to congratulate all the students that were involved in the Wayland
mural contest. It was a contest that was supported by the living green fair
that showed during the weekend of the November 14 and 15. We had 50 students
who were involved in some aspect of the creation of this mural. We are
fortunate in being able to keep the mural and will be dispalying the project
in the school in the future.
I want to congratulation 6 students for doing a wonderful job in the Say No
to Drugs poster contest. We had one winner from each grade level and their
art work was on display in the main area for the month of October.
Welcome back to a great new school year. Hope you had a super summer and
that you are ready to begin learning new and exciting things in your classes.
I would like to announce that there will be art club this year. Testing
will be on September 18, 21, and 22. I will be testing the 4th and 5th
grades only. Art club will begin on October 7. Art club is on Wednesday
from 2:00 to 3:00. If your child is selected ou will need to be able to pick
your child up at this time.
