Miss Brownlee has a natural zest for life.
Her fundamental gift of teaching is only further
enhanced by her love of travel, history, culture,
and the arts. She has a passion for nature, music,
communication, and learning.
When Ms. Brownlee realized she was meant to teach
middle school students, nothing could hold her back.
She considers herself fortunate to feel such passion for
her career and approaches every new day with anticipation
and excitement for life and learning.
My goal is to encourage students to be socially responsible and to pursue
their greatest dreams.
Students should be prepared to take a direct role in their education.
Students will set goals and monitor their progress. Success will depend on
their personal improvement and a willingness to persevere. Thinking 'outside
the box' is paramount when taking my class. Students are encouraged
to explore our world, try new things, ask questions, find answers, examine
various concepts and collaborate with others. I create the learning forum,
then students bring it to life. The kids will be challenged, but in the
end,
this will foster a greater appreciation and respect for knowledge and
develop
a unique perspective toward learning. Now that our world is a much smaller
place than ever before, our children must be prepared to think and act
globally and be ready to compete in various marketplaces. To do this,
I hope to encourage our students to have fun, be courageous in their
efforts, responsible to others, and relentless in the pursuit of their
dreams.
