Book List English I Pre-AP (9th grade course)
^^^I ask that students enrolled in this course obtain a copy of the
following novels/plays so that you can write in them during the
class.
Annotating books is an important part of this course--if you are
unable to obtain copies of these books I can loan you a copy and you
can make your annotations on sticky notes. Any edition new or used
will work for the purposes of this course. For you convenience I
have ordered a number of these books/plays which will be available at
Books-a-Million located in the Lakeside Village Shopping Plaza.
*To Kill a Mockingbird, by Harper Lee
*Romeo and Juliet, by William Shakespeare
*A Midsummer Nights Dream, by William Shakespeare
*The Odyssey, by Homer
*Fahrenheit 451, by Ray Bradbury
Book List English III Honors
^^^Due to the new 7 period schedule I do not have enough novels
available to send home with your student. If possible it would be
greatly appreciated if your student could acquire a copy of the
following novels/play for use in this course. New or used, any
edition would work well for our purposes. If your student would
be willing to donate the novel/play at the end of the course it would
be very much appreciated.
^^^If you would like to purchase the novels new I have taken the
liberty of placing an order at Books-a-Million in the Lakeside
Village
Mall for your convenience. Hopefully between students who are willing
to help out by bringing in a book and the books that I already have
available there will be enough copies for everyone enrolled in the
course to take one home with them while we are studying the
novel/play. Thanks so much for your help!
*The Scarlet Letter, by Nathaniel Hawthorne
*The House on Mango Street, by Sandra Cisneros
*A Streetcar Named Desire, by Tennessee Williams |
